Poppies are everywhere. The flower is a symbol of comfort in times of war. When everything is bombed to pieces, the poppy will be the first to grow again everywhere in the world. I especially wanted to show the details of the flower in enlarged form, as well as the comfort we can so much need in these turbulent times. The poppy is a wild flower and is sometimes even considered a "weed." We must realize that the nectar of this flower is the bees' number one priority. That's where life begins, pollination, the creation of fruits for our own diet.

Over Toverwoudcreatief
Mariëlle van Woudenberg is geboren in Nederland in 1960. Zij startte haar creatieve carrière als een auto didacticus en neemt wekelijks deel aan de cursus modeltekenen bij de Haagse Kunstkring. Vaak ontmoet ze andere artiesten in haar atelier wat zeer inspirerend werkt. Mariëlle is gefascineerd door het menselijk lichaam. Emoties zijn haar drive bijvoorbeeld in sport en de natuur. Kunstenaars waardoor zij zich graag laat inspireren zijn, Vincent van Gogh, Marc Chagal, Pieter Breugel de Oude.
