Over Tom Booij
Tom Booij is sinds 2000 werkzaam als beeldend kunstenaar (schilderijen, objecten en fotografie). Zijn achtergrond is autodidact en academisch (Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam). Zijn werk ontstaat intuïtief, zonder vooropgezet plan. Het is het beste te omschrijven als abstract-meditatief, waarbij het doel is, de kern - waar het allemaal om draait - te raken. Tom Booij has been working as a visual artist (paintings, objects and photography) since 2000. His background is self-taught and academic (Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam). His work is created intuitively, without a preconceived plan. It can best be described as abstract meditative, where the goal is to touch the core - what it's all about.
