I found this cafe in the old centre of Poitiers. It has obviously been closed for a very long time and the dust lies thickly on the tables and chairs which are just as they were abandoned.Sadly the trend to move commerce to the outskirts of the town has eaten a hole into the community and left a legacy of closed shops and restaurants.

Over Elyn Fryer
I am living and working in a small village on the river Dordogne in the department of the Lot. I paint, usually in water colours, but also guache and oils and get my inspiration from taking photographs on long walks with my dogs. I am becoming increasingly aware of the potential piece of art in all I see. I love ruined agricultural buildings where nature has taken over once again.
