They are undeniably photos, and yet my work might be said to be almost non-photographic. This is because in photography the subject usually is very important. You can not photograph what is not there. To me the added value by the artist is much more important than the subject, in my case my models. Therefore I try to make the subject less important and reduce the model to a form, line, concept or theme. By imposing my vision on reality, I try to deny the truth.

Peter Day (1965) studeerde in 1990 af aan de school voor fotografie Den Haag, nu KABK. Hij liep oa stage bij Erwin Olaf en Paul de Nooijer. Zijn werk bevindt zich in de collecties van Hans van Manen, Erwin Olaf, University of Pennsylvania en Roy Kahman.
