I painted this piece inspired by Claude Monet's beautiful gardens. The scene is filled with lilies, greenery, a pond surrounded by willows and bamboo. I used wider brushes to spread paint in some areas and mainly used squeegees to create and remove layers. The blues and bright warm colours contrast to bring order and harmony to the chaotic strokes and layers.
