Over Sam van der Wouden-Diedericks
I was born in the mountains, where wind speaks in fractals and color hums beneath the skin. My hands remember the rhythm of stone, ink, and pigment—each mark a migration, each form a becoming. I paint, I carve, I print, I shape—guided by metamorphosis, by the hybrid pulse of cultures entwined. South African by origin, Dutch by dwelling, I live between worlds, weaving them into tactile echoes. My art is a song of shifting selves, a dance of sound and silence, of memory and myth. It is not one voice, but many—layered, luminous, alive.
