The works Siopi (silence) are made for the exhibition project Small Odyssey, a Greek-Dutch cultural exchange. Photo-etchings from my own hands, holding a black or white stone, found on the beach in Greece, combined with a picture of the perfect oval shape, an egg. This picture I made in Venice, and it just fitted perfect with the image I wanted to show. It is the beginning of a serial of prints where I I want to depict my personal Odyssey. As printmaker, as person living between two countries.

Caroline Koenders, (Nijmegen 1961) in 1986 afgestudeerd aan de kunstacademie Arnhem met als discipline grafiek. Monumentale grafiek, groot werk. Heeft daarnaast als specialisatie de mezzotint. Werkt en exposeert internationaal, vrij en in opdracht. Docent grafische technieken.
