Literally painted as a flying object in infinity because there in the shoulder there is no gradient to suggest light. As has been done in face and neck. What powerful colours compared to the soft skin! And oh what a good decision that was to reflect the yellow in the face also in the apple. That way, the two elements are juxtaposed. The work pops, splashes and yet there is enough space to catch one's breath. The artist has painted the eyes with a great sense of detail. Eyes like a madonna looking out into the world. This is a very surprising and rich work.
